Everybody loves a miniature. Playing with scale is key to a lot of my design work - especially when shooting kids. I think my affinity for tiny versions of larger things is something we all start out with and most of us never outgrow. I remember playing a round of mini golf on Catalina Island when I was 8. The course was austere. No windmills or moving draw bridges - just white stucco and black green astroturf. The colored ball an electric contrast. The putt-putt course pictured here was built over a decade ago by folks at the over 55 RV park where my mom lives in Southern California. My mother thought it a little silly (and ugly). I was in awe. And I've only come to appreciate it more as it ages. I do love a miniature - especially when the seams show.
