Have hot glue gun will travel... this time to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Here I sit amongst the skeletal remains of a silver mining village 90 minutes outside San Miguel. I'm embellishing a sombrero thru the miracle of the portable generator (just out of frame). The 40-something degree morning clings to us like a ghost hug. And the awe-inspiring stone ruins give haunting context to a fashion shoot for Garnet Hill. The collaborative energies of art director Jen Hannah and photographer Anna Palma are (as always) palpable. As for the sombrero - pretty, but doesn't make the cut. Sometimes a prop stylist's best contribution is a great edit.
